Hi there

My site shows links like

  • <meta property="og:image" content="http://static1.squarespace.com...
  • <link rel="image_src" href="http://static1.squarespace.com...

How can I enforce Squarespace to include these ressources via https and not http?

Have you enabled SSL in Settings > Developer Tools >SSL?

Once Secure (Preferred) has been enabled and SSL is working correctly, you should also tick the HSTS Secure box to force content to be downloaded using SSL (https not http):

If you've done these and still experience issues, I encourage you to contact Squarespace Customer Support.

Hi,

I am getting the same issue for Arataki Dive website which shows mixed content issues and don't know where this would fit into Squarespace Customer Care categories at all. It won't go under security and vulnerabilities, and doesn't seem to fit in SEO, or image related categories either

Currently most search engines won’t penalize this type of mixed content: https://www.cloudflare.com/learning/ssl/what-is-mixed-content/

That said, yes SQSP should update "http" references to "https" to future-proof the platform.
