The /search page used to lead to a search page - now it downloads an HTML file

I have a Search button on my site that links to https://www.kaukauchronicles.org/search, which used to lead to a search page. Today, I noticed that clicking the Search button downloads an HTML file.

Has the URL to the search page changed?

This issue is specific to your site. I just tested the search page on my test site and it came up there as expected.

How did you implement access to your search page? Just curious - perhaps I can do it the same way to fix my issue?

I did nothing magical. I just added /search to the base URL of my site and it worked for me. That is the standard search URL.

I don't think there is any magic here, you need to contact customer support.

Have you installed any custom code? If yes then SS support may not help you. They have a policy of no help when custom code is installed. It is always possible that custom code is interfering but that seems unlikely. If you have installed custom code, remove it. Keep a copy somewhere.

If SS can't help you there is no magic that we can perform to help you.

I used this URL https://www.kaukauchronicles.org/search and the search bar came right up.  And the search button did the same.
