robcz
Hi, Currently using a template that stacks index pages rather than creating a drop-down menu in the navigation bar. I was wondering if there was anything i could do to change this (without changing the template) We like the current template and how when you click on the index page on the navigation bar that everything comes up stacked. However, we want to be able for users to have easier navigation through the indexed pages I hope this makes sense and there is a solution for this Thanks Rob Link to comment
Solution Ziggy Posted May 9, 2023 Solution Share Posted May 9, 2023 It sounds like you want a folder in the navigation with anchor links: https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/207135178-Creating-anchor-links Click on the PLUS in the Pages menu and select folder, then do the same to add links to the folder, and use anchor links to allow the link to jump to a section on the page. Have a look at this too: https://squarefortytwo.com/squarespace-guides/adding-anchor-links-on-squarespace And you may want this piece of Custom CSS to enable smooth scrolling to the anchor link on the page. html { scroll-behavior: smooth; } robcz and tuanphan 2 Please like and upvote if my comments were helpful to you. robcz
I have done as shown above and this has solved the main issue whilst presenting another Now the background image for the whole site is only showing at the very top for the linked pages in the folder created. Is there a way I can fix this? It seems like it is only the linked pages in the folder affected. All other pages are fine Thanks in advance Rob Link to comment
Ziggy
Can you share your website? It sounds like you're linking to the pages directly in the index rather than anchor-linking to them. You need the index URL and #page-url /index-url/#page-url Please like and upvote if my comments were helpful to you. Cheers!
