Hi!

Could someone please explain how to remove the "SIGN IN" link showing up at the top right of my nav bar? It appears to be separate from the other pages (like the shop button). How do I turn this off? I've looked under  "site permissions" and "member areas". We do not even have the subscription to be able to have a member area. Please help! Thanks so much!

The account login link displays automatically in your site's navigation after you enable customer accounts. If you don't want to use customer accounts, you can disable them as follows:

  1. Go to Settings > Selling > Customer accounts.
  2. Switch the toggle off.

Note that the Settings are accessed from the 'gear' icon at the bottom of the editor navigation.

Alternatively, to keep accounts but hide the Login/Account link in the header:

  1. Click EDIT in the top-left corner of your site preview.
  2. Hover over the header and click EDIT SITE HEADER.
  3. Hover over the Account link and click the red recycle bin icon to remove it.

This was a super helpful direction, but as the Squarespace panel names have been updated and changed, I had to hunt down where to find Customer accounts and switch the toggle off. When I did it worked instantly. Thank you!
