Move gallery description over image

Hello,

I would like to have 3 full bleed clickable images so I have used Gallery Grid Strips which is perfect - BUT I want to add text over each of the images.

Is there any CCS to move the description to the middle of the image using my heading font?
I've attached an image showing how I would like it to look!

Thank you!

The section below the gallery is how I want it to look, but want to use gallery if possible.

You can add this to Design > Custom CSS to move text over image

body.homepage figcaption.gallery-caption.gallery-caption-grid-strips {
    position: absolute !important;
    top: 50%;
    left: 50%;
    transform: translate(-50%,-50%);
    z-index: 9999;
    width: 100%;
    text-align: center;
    color: white;
}
