Desktop View sizing is different during Edit and during Viewing

Recommended Posts

Dear SquareSpace community,

First off, thank you for your attempts to help.  I am pretty new at creating a website and even though things are user friendly, I am still running into some issues.

The main thing I can't seem to figure out is the sizing of the text and website is different during edit mode (for desktop view) and actual website.

It seems in edit mode, the page feels like it's at 66% zoom, while just visiting the website regularly on browser is at 100% zoom.  In other words, while I am editing, the webpage looks the way I want it in terms of sizing and alignment.  But when I visit the page regularly (not in edit mode) the site is 50% bigger, ruining the look and alignment of items.

Does this happen to anyone else?  Is there a fix to it?  I am sure there's something I am over looking.

Please let me know if you need additional information.  Thanks in advance for your help and kindness.
