How can I change the speed of auto play in the carousel on my homepage?

I have quotes displayed in a carousel on my homepage. I would like to slow down the autoplay, so you can actually read them before the next one appears. I don't know much about code, but seems like this should be pretty simple. Can anyone direct me where to go to change this? I contacted Squarespace, and they said they will suggest that this feature is added...but I doubt it.

It looks like you are using code from a Will Myers tutorial, in that tutorial/code he explains how to adjust the timing. In the code you just need to adjust this line:

timing = 5,

The 5 means 5 seconds, change that number to adjust the timing.
