Hey Emily,

You could try targeting the block and simply giving it a negative margin. Would advise to only apply this to desktop and not mobile though!

So something like:

@media screen and (min-width: 641px) {

#YOUR-BLOCK-ID {

margin-top: -150px !important;
z-index: 9999 !important;

}

}

Often the simplest way is to use a background image (with the half black/white) and a single section. It's not perfect, but the use of negative margins isn't perfect either.

Squarekicker offers some good and easy ways to do this, but it does cost
