Would appreciate website feedback

Recommended Posts

Hi there.  I just stumbled upon the community and wanted to see if anyone could post any critiques they might have on my site https://www.eventcollectiveinc.com

I work in event marketing and event management as the site mentions.  One thing in particular I'm having trouble with is my icons for my services and how they display on mobile vs desktop.

I am also interested in any other feedback others might have to increase my search rank for these types of services.  Some of my initial thoughts were re-uploading photos with tags and meta data, but I'm not 100% sure that will be effective.

Here are some basics you should always follow, I will try to keep it specific to Event Marketing Niche-

1- navigation and Categories -> Build a good , easy to use Navigation and define categories of to describe kind of Events you did in past and may be some specific categories.
2- Create good content - Use ChatGPT or any AI to create some good content.
3- Social Validation - Add google review or trust pilot.
4- SEO - its not easy to get a search ranking that can generate leads, so I would recommend you create lots o content, get good backlinks and learn more from youtube.

Site is vary basic right now so I think these are most important things you can do.

Thanks,
Ishan

@EventCollective If you use AI it needs to be noted somewhere on the site that you used it to create content. Google has said that they will penalize sites that don't have a disclaimer.

I would consider turning the static icons and text into scrolling text (you can use emoji's to replicate the icons. (image capture for reference)

I would also pull in the images in Flickr to an actual gallery on your website. It's always good to have things either embedded or uploaded to the site so people don't leave.

I think you're headed in the right direction but not quite there yet. If I'm being 100% frank, it doesn't scream event website to me right now.

I like the featured work section, it really showcases what you have to offer.  Here are some other considerations to spruce it up a bit.

  • Recommend using a different color background instead of black.
  • Update title to Event Management & Marketing Services - that would look a bit cleaner then what is presented now.
  • Add in a tag line underneath the title.
  • Add in another section like "About Us" and describe the why behind your business/services. I would include a section on your homepage called "why event collective" and provide a highlight real of some of your cool events.

Also, I need some feedback on my site as well. Do you mind reviewing it and letting me know what you think? www.proguidance.org
