Can I embed a video that plays automatically, without the site visitor having to press play?

Hi

I've just started building my site. Is it possible to add a video so that it just plays automatically upon the person visitng the site, and on a loop? I don't want them to have to press play.

If you use a background video it will autoplay and loop.

You can do this for a video block by uploading the video to the website (rather than hosting on YouTube or Vimeo) and then selecting these options in the video block settings. Have a read of this:

What do you mean by a background video please?

Yeah I've just been uploading vids from my laptop, not linking from youtube etc.

In the section settings you have the option for a background image or video.

Sorry for the repeated questions, am I able to make the video window any larger, or is it restricted to one size?

Hi,

When I input a video onto my site. So, I add block, and add a video block, enlargening it, however it only ever comes out the same size. I would like the actual box that contains the video to appear larger. Please see attached

That's odd, it looks like it's not a video.

I've read different things on the forum, some people have led me to belive I have to add an 'embed' block in order to add a video. However then I end up with the embed block text in the background. Should I be able to just add a video block and drop one in? I'm talking about one from my hard drive,  not a youtube link?

Yes, you can do that (size limited)
