Footer edit not working

Hi

When trying to add site footer to my site template the button for edit footer doesn't work. Add footer button brings up edit footer button and then nothing? No options to work with or commands to insert text/ images in order for me to add this section. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem. I inserted a picture in the foote. Since then I can't edit on the entire site.

Cache delete doesn't help...
