Rosemary_DCDS Posted April 6, 2023 Share Posted April 6, 2023 Upon scanning our new Squarespace website for ADA accessibility, our critical fail is that "Buttons do not have an accessible name." How can I easily add Alt Text to the many buttons on our site? I am not HTML or CSS savvy, but I can plug stuff in if I know how/what to plug. My back up plan is to create graphics and alt-text the graphic...but I am hoping to learn a fix that will easily allow text changes on the fly. Link to comment
Ziggy Posted April 7, 2023 Share Posted April 7, 2023 You can't add HTML to buttons without javascript, but you could build the buttons in HTML code blocks rather than using the button blocks.
