Experienced Developer who can speed up a SquareSpace website

Our website loads slower than we´d like and having optimized what we have access to (image resizing, removing 3rd party code etc) the website is still slow, especially on mobile. We are aware this is quite common and SS have given us the reply that Lighthouse benchmarking  isn´t relevant to this platform. That said visually our website shows a noticeable delay when loading.

We are looking for a developer who can help improve it. 

One thing we have noticed is quite a lot of idle time: This is on mobile:

Squarespace's platform group are working on a number of improvements in this area. In the meantime, there isn't anything that a third party developer can do to improve it - whatever they may say.
