Amazon Blocks & Google "Best Practices" for Affiliate Links

Question here about adhering to Google's best practices for affiliate links with Amazon Blocks on Squarespace. I have a directory on my site of recommended products & am using Squarespace's "Amazon Block" feature. I want to make sure I am not hurting my rankings - I reached out to Squarespace and they were unable to give me an answer as to whether or not their Amazon block includes coding measures to tell google whether or not these are sponsored or no follow links. They recommended "custom code" or "reaching out to Google" to "see what google's policies are regarding amazon links". Anyone have any insight on this?
