simon.stjohn
In search results my blogs' name looks like the attached sample. The Blog name on the first line is: baligram.me And I would just like to change this (to capitalise the first letter so it reads: 'Baligram.me'. I can't quite figure out where that can be changed in settings, if anyone mioght be kind enough to help me? Thanks! ThatDeafGuy 1 Link to comment
qosmic
Is your website a blog or is the blog part of your website? Typically, for most Squarespace pages, the SEO name will be the page name or site name. If you want it capitalized, add a capital letter to the page or site title. .techCRM | Email Marketing | eCommerce | Accounting Systems | Data Migration | Automation | App IntegrationsOur Mission - Contact Link to comment
simon.stjohn
Hi @qosmic Thanks for your reply. The blog is running on a subdomain. I checked the Site Title (via Page Header -> Global -> Site Title and Logo) and that is set to 'Baligram Magazine' I can't find anywhere else in the settings where I could specify title. It seems to me like for some reason Google is choosing to use the URL rather than the site title. Could that be possible? Link to comment
qosmic
In your dashboard, hover over the page and click on the gear icon to bring up the page settings. Click SEO. You can enter a different name there. See if that's it. .techCRM | Email Marketing | eCommerce | Accounting Systems | Data Migration | Automation | App IntegrationsOur Mission - Contact Link to comment
ThatDeafGuy
I am also struggling with this issue. Link to comment
simon.stjohn
Hi @qosmic Well, it's Blog Posts (not pages) that this is happening and on the Settings for a blog post, under the SEO tab there is not a place for page/post name...just meta Title and Description. So Google must be getting it from somewhere else? Link to comment
qosmic
There is a page title and SEO settings for the blog itself. Should rule that out as well. (If you don't know, go to the blog page in your dashboard and click the gear icon at the top.) If that's not it, are you using Google Search Console or have you submitted the page to Google for indexing? .techCRM | Email Marketing | eCommerce | Accounting Systems | Data Migration | Automation | App IntegrationsOur Mission - Contact Link to comment
