Numbers Are Completely Different - Profiles / Subscribers / Mailing List

For context, I moved my email mailing list from Mailchimp to Squarespace back in 2020. Since then I haven't thought too much about the numbers, but today I took notice of something. I have some major differences in numbers, and hoping someone could help clear things up, maybe tidy it up so they're even, or even let me know that it's normal.

Profiles All - 974
Subscribers - 878
Mailing list - 752

I don't have multiple lists to sign up for, and if anyone fills out a sign-up, it's for the mailing list. Yet, there is a 222 difference between my mailing list and the profiles. What's going on here?

I have a similar question. Additionally, why is my SqSp mailing list different from my Mailchimp list - since one was generated from the other?
