RebeccaSD
Is there a way to prevent images from being downloaded, saved as, drag and dropped, etc.? Link to comment
Ziggy
No, if you upload an image that is publically visible, I or anyone else, will be able download it. You can disable right-clicking, but that doesn't really change anything. Uploading as small an image as you can will discourage people from using it elsewhere, as will adding obtrusive watermarks (this is precisely what stock photography websites do, small and heavily watermarked) but doing this will impact the look of your website. I realise this sounds disappointing, but it's a harsh reality. What images are you trying to protect? Edited March 31, 2023 by Ziggy Please like and upvote if my comments were helpful to you. Cheers! RebeccaSD
Yeah...that's pretty much what I came across in my research. I thought there was some way to do an HTML trick...but that may not apply to Squarespace. I am hoping to use some nature imagery from a local photographer who seems willing to donate them to the org's cause. She was wondering if there was a way to prevent theft. Thanks Ziggy Link to comment

RebeccaSD
Thanks Ziggy. She seems fine with the disabled right-click option and realizes that there is no way to completely avoid it. I found code to do it but wondering if you have code you like. Link to comment
