Custom code for "Price on request"

hi all

I have a Squarespace site created last year, where I am using the commerce functions to have a "webshop" where I can show used products I have for sale. Some products are difficult to set a price for, so I want to have the price say "price on request" if the price is 0 in the inventory management. Ever since the creation, I have had the following custom code injection to automatically change prices that are 0 to "Price on request". For some reason this has now stopped working. I'm not sure exactly when.

Any thoughts on why it doesn't work?

Thanks in advance

The code you are using is a very old version of my code from my guide, How to make some prices POA on Squarespace 7.1. If you take a look at the guide, you'll see that I updated it last year when Squarespace made changes to the page markup. The most recent version should work correctly 🙂

Thank you very much Paul!

I've started my Art Gallery last month and happy to use Squarespace.
In the artworld, we often don't display prices to get to know the customer better and to fade away the price transparency, as a result, I need to do some custom changes as follow:

When the function 'price on request*' (POA) appears, I want to have a button that replaced 'add to cart' to a form where people can leave their first, last name, and personal message - so they can get into touch with the art gallery

A developer could write some JavaScript to add a button when a product is POA, or you could add a form to the 'Additional Info' section of each POA product.

If you're looking for a proven solution, the Product Enquiry Form extension is a paid 'plugin' that can automatically replace the Add to Cart button with a contact button for users to leave their details. The form submission email will then automatically include the product title and a link to the product.
