Navigation Disappeared

My navigation suddenly disappeared in the middle of my site edits. 

It has been working fine up to this point and seems to only be affecting the Home page, the other pages the heading is apparent as normal. I found an inopportune work around by adding a blank section above my hero section, and the navigation appears again, but this creates awkward spacing that I don't want. 

The navigation appears during the edit screen but is not visible in the preview screen.

As you can see below, it is just a blank header space with the logo and no buttons or links visible.
