Mobile view change the look of the font. Can someone help me please?

Recommended Posts

Hello.
I bought a family font that is part of my communication, what happen is that on mobile the font looks different.
I already asked Squarespace custom care but they did nothing to help me. Just sent some links...

The font is a customer plug on Squarespace via CSS code.

The left image is the mobile view on Squarespace site, and the right one is a print screen on an iPhone ( chrome browser)

If someone could help me I really appreciate it.
thanks

Rui

Hi,

Can you share link to page in screenshot? We can check easier

In addition, you should also check that on the website where you purchased the font, the font works the same on both devices. If there, it also appears the problem, you will have to contact the font author.

I have the exact same issue, and I don't use custom font. Just regular Google Font (Noto Serif Japanese), and I use it for Japanese characters.

I thought, the Japanese version of the font is not available on squarespace so I manually input Google Fonts API on the header of the site. But it does not change anything.

The worst part is, when viewed in android device. The font weight is not consistent (some bold and some are not) although it's in the same sentence and same class without any spans.

Here's the example of editor view and real mobile view (Android & iPhone).Screenshot2023-03-29at18_11_52.thumb.png.89e1ad77c3f118f50b03efdcfbcfa0b7.pngWhatsAppImage2023-03-29at18_10_48.thumb.jpeg.d0c8cdef5bf4e9ca168f774a4d313844.jpegWhatsAppImage2023-03-29at18_15_10.thumb.jpeg.2468931c5d280c89e6a5bec750b84364.jpeg
