Custom section divider cutting off text/images

Hi, I have added code to obtain the 'torn paper' effect section dividers which works well. My problem, is that any text or images placed in this little section are send to the back and the paper appears over the top (as per the image). Any idea's how I can stop this from happening? I wanted to continue to use the ripped paper theme throughout the site but don't want to keep running into problems.
