Adding a subscriber button

Hi,

Quite basic but I'm wondering how I add a subscription button for email updates? I'm designing a mailer through squarespace but want to add on my website something like "Click here to subscribe to updates", which then adds the persons email to the mailer list. Would I require someone to write some code or is this easily done through squarespace?
