Portfolio landing page

I'm trying to replicate the example shown at the top of this page:

Where the portfolio subpages photos are on the right and their titles on the left, and when you hover over the titles it changes the images.

Right now I have the titles to the left but the images show up in the background instead of off to the side. How do I move them?
