top section on mobile view scrolls/jumps down automatically on site load (7.1)

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone! It's my first time posting here. You all have been an invaluable resource to me already, so thank you!

My issue:

Note: This is happening on mobile view only (as far as I know), and only when viewing on an actual mobile device. I'm viewing on an iPhone 7, for reference.

The site is currently password protected. After I enter the password and the site loads, the top section jumps down a little ways (enough to where you can see the next section). If I tap the logo to reload Home, everything looks the way it should.

I had previously tweaked the padding and size of the mobile menu, though after a lot of testing, I don't think this is the culprit. But maybe it is!

I was able to brute force a solution by changing the min-height of the top section (on mobile only) to 110vh. But this is not ideal, because if a user goes back Home, they will see the text and button in the top section appears a little lower than when the site originally loaded.

This is kind of nit-picky, but my site is promoting my web design and content creation skills, so you know, wanna put my best foot forward and all that!

Thanks in advance for your help!

Dylan
