Remove click feedback for brine template on mobile

How do I remove that click feedback that shows a dark gray rectangle on any click target? Other websites on mobile do not have this issue. It seems like is part of the brine template because the demo website has the same issue. It makes clicking anything feel kind of laggy/unresponsive.

Try adding to Design > Custom CSS

.Mobile-overlay-menu-main * {
    background-color: transparent !important;
    outline-color: transparent !important;
}

That didn't fix it unfortunately. Another thing is that in the mobile preview on squarespace, the menu doesn't lag or have that gray rectangle. I only see this on an actual mobile phone.

If it doesn't work, I don't have any idea. I can't replicate problem on my end 😞
