Overlay section seems to be not transparent, covering the bottom section

I had this worked before, I reckon there was a Squarespace update that has broke my design. 

On my betweenwonders.art homepage, I have two sections overlapping together to have a "hover on text and show image" effect. The top section are images, I used CSS to adjust its position and it now seems to have a white background, and it is hiding my bottom section. 

Any advice is very appreciated!

Add to Design > Custom CSS to fix problem
