Unsaved Work

Hello fellow Squarespace users!

I was recently updating my website when I was suddenly booted out of the page. In the process, I lost all of my progress, which was hours of hard work. I understand that I should have taken screenshots or saved my work somewhere else, but this has happened before, and to other people who I have brought this up with. I am just disappointed that Squarespace's lagging issues have gone unnoticed for quite some time. I reached out to Squarespace and received a quick response, but I felt as though they could have taken more responsibility. I think an autosave feature would be nice, where even if you do not have to publish it, Squarespace can have an unpublished version of your site, so you can close the tab without having to worry about what happens next. As insignificant as this post is, please let me know if anybody feels the same way as me!

This has just happened to me and I am so livid! Is there a way back or am I just going to have to start 5 hours of work again from scratch??

Autosave seems an absolutely basic feature of any website-building site. Ridiculous.

I am so sorry to hear that! I was very upset too, and I can't image how difficult it must have been. I am hoping that they will soon add an autosave feature. Good luck with your site.
