Error when adding sitemap to Google Console

Hi there,

I'm having trouble with Google Console and adding a sitemap.xml.

It says 'Sitemap can be read, but has errors. Missing XML tag'. What can I do to fix this issue?
I have requested the indexing of each page of the site.

Hey @annaneedhamdesign,

To confirm, did you type and submit "sitemap.xml" into the sitemap section of your Google Search Console? (below)

If so, I'd need more info on your site to see why it's not working.

I’m having a similar issue with a sitemap error. The error asks for me to fix a date issue but I can’t find where this is on Squarespace to fix.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Having the exact same issue as Kaila S above - any solution yet? 

@BenjaminKnowles The sitemap was likely empty. If needed, you can ask SS support to generate it for you.
