Can I have a blog AND a portfolio?

Why do I have to choose either a Blog or a Portfolio, what if I want both? As a graphic designer, I need to have a portfolio page, I'd also like to start a travel blog which I'd like to add as a page on my portfolio, but that does not seem to be an option. Any suggestions? You can add a summary block that pulls in your blog posts to your portfolio page.

@Ziggydoes that mean I need to create a separate squarespace site for my blog and then pull that in to my portfolio? So I need two sites?
