PDF Link shows up blank white

I linked a PDF to a button (see Open PDF screenshot) but when I click on it as a visitor it just take me to a blank white page instead of the PDF. Does anyone know why this happens and how to fix?

When I'm on the internal preview and I click the link it opens up the PDF.

Wondering if its because I'm still on free trial and haven't published the site.

Hi,

I have chosen squarespace to design a new website for one of our new brands.

The website is a one pager, with couple of machines we are able to install/customize.
For some I wanted to make a button after short descreption, which upon clicking would download and open a specification sheet in PDF.

I have created the button, uploaded the pdf which is 3000kb, ticked the box to use that file on the given button, clicked save.
Saved the whole process.

When I open the website, click the button it redirects me to "https://static1.squarespace.com/........" URL, but the page is completly empty. Not a single error message or else.

I have tried the steps above with different PDFs, even one which contains a single word, but it does not seem to work.

I have tired to create a new blank page, make links and button to the same upploaded PDFs and they all work fine.
Copying the button and inserting it to the original home page is possible, but upon clicking the same white blank appears.

Is there an option somewhere, which I cant find that disables uploaded content to be opened?
