Adding Flodesk popup to a client website footer

Hi there, I'm working on a client website and she would like the user to sign up for her newsletter from her site's footer through a "sign up" button. Once the user clicks the button, it would trigger a Flodesk pop-up.

How can I do this without adding the pop-up automatically appearing on every single page? And is there any way to do this without being on the Business account (aka without the advanced code).

Or would it be better if we instead embedded the Flodesk form directly into the footer, rather than triggering a pop-up when the user clicks the "sign up" button

On the personal plan, you don't have access to embedding, so pop-ups (beyond the form block) aren't really possible, neither is an embedded form. You may have to reply on linking out to Flodesk in a new tab or window.

Hi @Ziggy! I believe you can embed forms on a personal plan, as I've been working on another client site where I've been able to embed a MailerLite form into one of her pages (as a test) - https://www.tammyvincent.com/test

This is a solution for dropping anything into a lightbox that would pop up with a button or link is clicked:

To keep it simple, I think my best options are:

1. Link to external Flodesk page

2. Or upgrade her plan to a Business plan to take advantage of the code block

Hey @Ziggy! I just wanted to follow up with you on this - I spoke with a Squarespace CS, they mentioned that actually because I'm using the Embed block, this is why the MailerLite Embed code works. Apparently all plans have the Embed code 🙂
