Adding password to page

Long story short I need to put a password on a page so only people with the password can view the page. Upon doing so and testing it- inputting the password (yes the correct one) just sends me back to the same lock page without granting me access to the password protected page. It worked before but now it's bugged and I'm not sure what to do.

The best thing to do is post the URL for the page or your site and what page it is, and the password, you can change that later if necessary once the problem is figured out.
