Product quantities won't display on second shop page

Please help! I recently added a secondary shop page to my website where I sale services (workshops) instead of physical product. In my first shop, I see the quantities being displayed once a product is selected for purchase, but the quantities don't show on the second shop page. Meaning it's impossible for the customer to buy 2 spots for a workshop at once.  Furthermore, it's also impossible to add multiple of the same service to the cart before checking out. "Show quantity" is enabled in the site style so I do not understand quite why its not displaying on the this second shop page but it displays on the first? Any ideas why that is? 

After a little bit more digging: It looks like the problem only occurs if the product is a "service". all "physical" products are displaying quantities on both shop pages
