Grid view of pages

Im using the Avenue layout for my site and the first page is showing my Galleries in a grid view 

all is good, but when i go into the individual gallery, the photos are sequentially stacked .

Question: can the individual galleries also be displayed in grid view?

To clarify, do you mean the individual images are to be displayed in grid view? Yes, but those images cannot be on a gallery page, they would need to be in a gallery block on a regular page. That page can be in the index as well.  I do that on my site as well as gallery pages which only stack images. Look at the Lipizzaners gallery in the bottom row.
