How do I open slide master view. I can't edit the info in my footer

How do I open the slide master view?  Where do I find it?  I can't edit the info in my footer.  How do I fix that?

You don't say what template you are using but if it is 7.1 you go into the configuration. Click edit at the top left corner of any page, scroll to the bottom, and then hover over the footer until it turns dark, and "edit footer" shows up, click that, and then you can edit the blocks in the footer add new ones or a section. Make sure to hit done at the top left when finished.

I am not sure what you are referring to when you ask about a slide master view.
