Edit header and adjust spacing questions

Hello. I am trying to add a title under my name in the header space but can't figure out a way to do it.

I also want to have the images on my portfolio page go all the way to the edge but when I do that it also changes the spacing for site pages and my text ends up at the edge of the margin which I do not want. Is there a way to get the images to the edge but keep the space for the text for the various site pages?

Hi! I actually was able to figure out adding the 2nd line to the title. So now I'm curious how to make the font of the 2nd line different from the first line?

I have managed to figure out my previous questions!

So my new question is...I am also trying to create a homepage that has a rotating banner that fills the entire space (even behind the header) but the templates all stop at the base of the header. Any ideas? Thanks!

I was able to figure out banner question.

So now its being able to change my title font to be different from my name.

I am also wondering if there is a way to delete portfolio sub pages- I don't need to open to another page!

I want to just set up a lightbox to play a video when the portfolio image is clicked and not another page.

You can just add the font-family to the a.site-title:after CSS you already have, something like this:

a#site-title:after {
    content: "PRODUCTION DESIGN";
    display: block;
    font-size: 15px;
    font-family: cursive;
}

You can add various different customizations to this CSS to change the text style however you like.

The sub-pages are the entire point of using a Portfolio type page, if you don't want them it would be simpler to use a standard page and add a gallery for the images instead of using the portfolio.

If you want to have a video play in a lightbox, then you can use a gallery or image blocks, and use this plugin to link the video:

I am having an issue where when clicking on my name in the desktop view of my site it no longer goes to the homepage-- it is working in the mobile view though--not sure how to fix this?! 

Also I have embedded a video to autopplay on my profile subpage but it is looping which is very obnoxious...is there anyway to get it to autoplay and only play once?

The inability to click on the header logo is because of the way that the split navigation coding is set up, it is causing the navigation to layer on top of the logo, I have some CSS should fix it... but that involves changing the layering order, the problem you will then have is that the navigation items won't be clickable because the header logo is now on top of the navigation. What solution did you find to achieve the split navigation?

Yes, it's a new feature in Squarespace, if you upload the video directly you should be able to set it to autoplay and not loop.

Hi Again,

I was able to figure out the header. 

I don't want to upload videos as they will be muted when autoplaying. Therefore I embedded them to autoplay with sound but I was hoping to be able to stop them from looping and only play once.

Lastly I was hoping to do spilt titles on my commercial, narrative and editorial/experiential pages. 

I figured out how to stop the looping. It was a setting on vimeo. So now its just the split titles!
