Trouble with Profile Tags in Email Campaigns

Recommended Posts

I have read the Squarespace help article about three times, regarding how to add tags to customer profiles and it is just not working.

the instructions copied and pasted from the article are as follows:

You can add internal tags to help organize profiles and make them searchable. For example, creating a tag for "Top100" to identify top customers, or "Vegan" to track dietary needs. Tags aren't visible to your customers or donors. You can create up to 250 unique tags. To add tags:

  1. Click a profile.
  2. Scroll down to Tags. There is no scrolling down to TAGS...
  3. Enter a tag name. There is nowhere to enter the tag name.
  4. Select an existing tag, or click the tag text to create a new tag. There is nowhere that allows me to enter a tag name

This is extremely frustrating.  I obviously was able to add new tags at one time, but now I am unable to.   Even when I got to "ALL" click the"..." on the right-hand side, and click Manage tags, it shows me the two tags that are already in there and will let me edit or delete those two tags, but there is no option or button to add another.  According to the Squarespace help article, I should be able to add up to 250 tags.

the instructions copied and pasted from the article are as follows:

When you are viewing the list of profiles (in Home > Profiles) you can click a profile. This should launch a popup pane on the right side of the browser, showing the details for this profile, like this:

If this pane doesn't appear, you may want to check that you are using the latest version of your browser, and check that you are not using any browser extensions that could prevent it from appearing, such as ad blockers or pop-up blockers. If none of this helps, please contact Squarespace Customer Care directly.
