alissacm Posted February 16, 2023 Share Posted February 16, 2023 (edited) Hi! I'm working with a client to transition from WordPress to Squarespace. They're a construction company with 100+ projects on their site that I will be displaying as blog posts. I followed this guide to import content from WordPress (and have also done it before on another site with success). It says the import was a success, but no blog posts show because every item has the message "unknown item type" because on WordPress they were listed as "projects", not posts or blog posts. Attached a screenshot showing what I mean! I can also share the .xml file if necessary. Any help would be much appreciated, I really don't want to manually transfer all of these! Thanks in advance! tuanphan Posted February 20, 2023 Share Posted February 20, 2023 Maybe Project is a Custom Post Type so Squarespace can't recognize it. You try use some plugin on WordPress to convert it to Blog Post, then import it again to Squarespace (If the WP site is live, you can create a staging site & do there) Email me if you have need any help (free, of course.).
