How to Make Superscript Trademark Symbol in Navigation Titles and Page Titles?

Recommended Posts

Hi!  My client has some registered trademarks that need to have a superscript ® symbol after the trademark.  I've been able to create the superscript ® in the main text of the webpage using a markdown box with HTML tags.  However, I need to also make the ® symbols superscript in the page title, and in the "Themed Overlays" dropdown menu - but Squarespace seems to be preventing this.  No matter what I try, I can't seem to get Squarespace to make the ® symbol superscript in those locations.  Does anyone have any advice to accomplish this?

Try pasting an (R) like the one below (that is already superscript) directly into the page navigation title:

Unfortunately pasting a superscript ® doesn't work, Squarespace just converts it to standard formatting (non-superscript).    If you put tags in the title, it writes the tags out in text rather than interpreting them.  I suspect I will need a javascript or CSS solution to over-ride Squarespace's formatting, but after trying for a few hours yesterday I couldn't figure out a way to do it.  If anyone has a solution or any other ideas, please let me know!
