Hello!  I am new at SS web design for clients and I have to give a quote to an area school district.  First, I was wondering if SS is a good platform to host a school website on?  And if it is, is there a good template to use as a starting point?  Here is a link to the current website...https://www.sanduskycc.org/  They are looking for a website revamp.

Thank you in advance for any guidance that can be shared!

Yes, Squarespace is great for this. Use any Squarespace 7.1 template as they all have the same features.

is there a way to have an app created, like most school websites have for students, staff and parents/guardians to download on their phone?

There's a benefit for schools having an app that provides direct/private messaging but, in my opinion, there is no benefit in paying a third party to build an app that is specific to the website.

However, you can use code on the website to encourage visitors to tap to create an icon on the mobile desktop that links to the website.

Hello SS community!  Question about log in stuff.  For the school I am working with, they sent me a link of a website they want theirs to flow like.  https://bvhs.org/  Am I able to create a website that has a log in account like the sample website?  I am sorry, I am very new at this and this is a large and very intricate project and I just want to make sure I am actually capable of doing a school website.  Does anyone have any school websites they have designed on SS that I can take a peak at?  Thank you in advance!

Hey, thanks for the post! I'm a newbie too, and my site's more on the commercial side. Can you share how you come up with titles?

Hi @Manst2002  I am not sure what you mean by Titles?  Can you elaborate?

I have to come up with some product headlines as examples, but I'd rather not spend too much time on them as I find creativity challenging.

Hi,

Moved all our schools onto SS because of the easy of use along with savings made. Some of our schools were spending thousands and being as we are part of a Multi Academy Trust it made sense along with how easy it is for a person in the school can be responsible for updating pages etc.

You'll find them all linked from https://www.futuregenerationtrust.co.uk/

Need to get around to re doing some of them as the one above and https://www.moathall-castles.com/ are done on 7.1

I would suggest looking at similar website examples to get ideas and then determining what would make sense for your company.  Hope that helps!
