Help changing shopping cart template style

Hello, 

I'm struggling with changing the shopping cart of my site. The checkout/cart style editior is limited and there isn't an option to change the template as with other pages. This is what the cart page looks like:

I'd love the header to look more like this:

• Add a background image
• Change Site Title + Navigation items color
• Change Cart icon color

Hi, yes, only the last two items.

But I just changed the colours of the main style template I was using and set up secondary and tertiary style templates for everything else. It took a long time but it was easier than trying to figure out the code to change the colours.
