amobley1108 Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 (edited) I have a blog page on my website which I wish to only make available to certain people. I have hidden the page from SEO and password protected it. My question, is it possible to pass the password in the URL that I provide people so that they do not have to type it in? The password is "66qes6jFayof" if you want to play around with it. Edited February 1, 2023 by amobley1108
paul2009 Posted February 1, 2023 Posted February 1, 2023 (edited) If there's a sitewide password, you can use a URL Query. amobley1108 Posted February 2, 2023 Author Posted February 2, 2023 I tried that but I am still being prompted to enter the password. https://www.foothillspaddlingclub.org/meeting-minutes/?password=66qes6jFayof

The URL query can only be used with sitewide passwords, not page-specific passwords like this one, as they must be entered manually. Me: I'm Paul, a SQSP user for >18 yrs & Circle Leader since 2017. dougjaeger Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 @paul2009 I saw that code on your site! Perfect for reviews of a site before it launches.. I really wished it could work on the page-level password, for commerce or portfolio sections, do you think that is a feature that Squarespace could introduce in the future? It would be really helpful for sharing portfolios that can't be shared publicly with potential clients.

I wish this was possible too. I don't imagine this will be a priority for Squarespace, but I do recommend that you raise this as a feature request, explaining why this would be helpful to Circle members. You can do this via Squarespace Customer Care using a support ticket. If you experience any difficulties contacting Squarespace, please read how to contact Squarespace.
