foerdeofen
Hello, I need to have an inventory for my subscription product. Squarespace doesn't offer to limit the possible subscriptions. Is there any work-around? Thanks for your help, Lea Link to comment

When a product becomes a subscription product, the quantity becomes 'unlimited' as stock must always be available to fulfill each customer's subscription, each time it renews. Can you help me to understand the problem from your perspective? Are you trying to limit the number of subscribers that you have, for example due to time constraints, or are you trying to gain more control over inventory management? Did this help? foerdeofen
Thank you for your answer @paul2009 . You've guessed the problem right: My aim is to limit the number of subscribers that can get a subscription due to time constraints. Once they've bought the subscription product, the quantity should - of course - be unlimited. Do you have any idea how to solve this problem? Thanks a lot! Link to comment

The only way to prevent further sales of the subscription is to manually hide the product from sale. This will prevent further subscriptions from being purchased without affecting existing subscriptions. Did this help? brandonhendrickson
Chiming in here — I use Squarespace to sell my multi-month classes (scienceisWEIRD.com). It would help my company greatly to be able to show when we're out of seats in a particular class, but since we do subscriptions, this seems impossible. If anyone from Squarespace is listening, it would be very, very helpful to allow subscriptions to have an inventory. (The next best option, as paul2009 has correctly put it, is to just hide an item. That confuses potential clients — who assume that they're missing something.) This definitely isn't enough for me to stop using Squarespace for my store... but it's a straw on the camel's back! This seems like a simple fix, too. Does anyone else have a workaround to this? Run a test-prep company, and a group where little kids get together to make brunch and talk philosophy. Starting a school. Link to comment
