Show header navigation inside inset background image

Hi, my site https://parakeet-whale-bwt9.squarespace.com/ has a header navigation menu that is set to dynamic, and my first section has a background. The background image of the section is inset, causing my header navigation to show on top of my image. I would like to display it INSIDE the inset background (over the image) though. Can anyone help me adjust this?

Sorry, I'm looking at your website, but not sure what you are picturing, what do you want this to look like?

Similar to here, where the navigation shows inside the photo.. Because the background of the first section is inset, the logo and navigation show above the photo.

I assume that if you set the background image to full rather than inset it extends behind the header? Can you set it like that and I can then give you some CSS to add a margin in?
