Mailto Email Links Not Working

Recommended Posts

Please post the URL for a page on your site where we can see your issue.

A link to the backend of the your site won’t work for us, i.e. a url that contains /config/.

Please set up a site-wide password, if your site is not public and you've not already done so.

Post the password here.

Adding a site-wide password does not allow anyone to alter your site. It only allows those with the password to see your site.

Please read the site-wide password and how to share a link documentation to understand how they work.

We can then take a look at your issue.

Experiencing the same issue on my site, anyone have a fix for this?

Please see my previous post. It is not a solution but without being able to see your site there is no way we can begin to help.

Gmail users should still be able to click 'mailto:' links to send an email, unless they've configured their browser to disable this or to use a different email service.

The mailto links on your page are working fine for me.

Email links work for me as well.

It may be a configuration issue on your device. You may need to choose which app will handle the mailto: scheme. How you go that will depend on your environment. Use your favorite search engine to find out how to go about it.

My mailto links are working on the mobile version of my website, but not on desktop.

If the mailto links are working on mobile, then they are working. If you find they don’t work on a desktop computer, then the issue is with that particular desktop computer, which probably hasn’t been configured with a default mail service. It’s not an issue with the website.

I am running into this and understand what you are saying. Its important for my directory customers to see they get value by generated referrals from my site EMDRNYC.ORG - are there any other options that if a interested party clicks there email or name a contact message can be sent to the directory person (somewhat like the form, except the form only allows one email and its the owner's).
