Squarespace sites do not load on Safari unless I use a Private window

This is an on and off issue, but has been mostly on in the last few days I've tried Squarespace. No matter what I try (clearing cache, reloading, restarting my Mac) the Squarespace editor and even others' Squarespace sites will not finish loading. Like the site will have the same load status for hours, with just a blank page.

There is no issue once I bring the link over to a private window though. And I don't have this issue with any other website I've been visiting. Safari is updated, and I have a fairly recent Mac. I don't know what's causing this but it's making using Squarespace very inconvenient. Does anyone know the solution/cause of this?798258545_ScreenShot2023-01-21at12_11_01AM.thumb.png.f8abc7ca4e5519d0166f01b325409ef3.png

It looks like you are using an ad blocker in Safari. You'll want to disable this tool (or whitelist the Squarespace sites so they are not affected) to allow you to edit Squarespace websites.

That's a real problem if you have a sizable number of people visiting your site with Safari browsers. Does Squarespace have any workaround for this?

Also is having an ad blocker a default setting for Safari Browsers?

Are you seeing this problem? I use a mixture of Safari and Chrome and I haven't come across it.

Clear Cache and Cookies: Go to Safari preferences, select the "Privacy" tab, and click on "Manage Website Data." Remove any data related to Squarespace sites and then restart Safari.

Disable Extensions: Extensions can sometimes interfere with website loading. Temporarily disable any extensions you have installed and see if the issue persists.

Update Safari: Ensure you have the latest version of Safari installed. Updates often include fixes for known issues and improve browser compatibility.

Reset Safari: If the problem continues, you might consider resetting Safari entirely. This will clear all browsing history, cache, cookies, and other data. Go to Safari preferences, select the "Advanced" tab, and click on "Reset Safari."

Check Network Connection: Sometimes, network issues can prevent websites from loading properly. Ensure you have a stable internet connection.

Contact Squarespace Support: If none of the above solutions work, it's possible there may be an issue with how Squarespace is rendering on Safari. Contact Squarespace support for further assistance and to report the issue.

By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and resolve the problem with loading Squarespace sites on Safari.
