Website not viewing properly from Facebook link

It seems to scale okay on my testing, as well as on the phone. Sorry I can't replicate that, but it's not a bad thing that it's working...

From that link on my phone, it still loads just fine. Have you tested on another browser on your phone?

Yeah other phone browsers are fine, but when you open it up through Facebook it does that, you know when facebook opens something but doesn't actually open it up on Chrome or Safari, it's like FB's browser.

Are you in the Squarespace Community group on FB? I made a post in there about it.

Also when I view the website to edit in the Squarespace app it comes up comes up with that scaling but not on the Squarespace desktop website when viewing the mobile version - I've attached images.

No, I can't find a way to replicate the issue, and I haven't found a reason this would be happening from a Facebook link. Sorry about that!

@Ziggy Ok so after hours and hours of more research, I duplicated my site and deleted everything to see what it was causing this. It's the text boxes/font, it looks like it's not breaking and going into mobile view. 

I tried resizing a few but its site wide so I can't do it for the whole site, is there a way to make it so the font breaks in to mobile view like it should? Or is there a way for FB browser to 'read' the correct code and stop messing it up?

If it's Facebook's mobile browser causing the problem, then I'm not sure how we can fix it, is your Facebook app updated?

Yes I have updated my phone, the FB app, cleared caches everywhere, imcluding Android webview. I just don't understand what could be causing it and how no one knows absoloutly nothing about it? 

I have the same issue.  I am afraid to even use my website on a facebook page because when someone clicks on it, the text boxes are all over the place even rhough I have designed the page to safetly have the text boxes have space between. It is a nightmare. My service provider tells me that this is a bug from FB.  I built my website using Webstarts.  Have considered starting over again and going with Wix.  But not sure if this will sort out the issue.  I had some 80 testers and most of them said it was fine.. but some were seeing the corrupted site as I am.  So frustrating. And impossible to talk to someone at FB.

Thank you! This pointed me in the right direction — I thought it was the CSS code I had.

I fixed it by turning off some of the "SCALE TEXT" I had — in the Text Box, it's the button that kinda looks like └ A ┐ and makes the text extend to the width of the Text Box.

This seems that it was throwing off the margins in the FACEBOOK BROWSER ONLY. Other browsers still worked fine. I turned this off because I'm running Facebook Ads and this seems to have solved the issue. Thanks!!!

We are having the same issue.   The scale text, ONLY in the Facebook/messenger browser, mainly on Android I think, does not scale properly.  Something in the Squarespace code does not render well and adds a border to the right.  When we open in Chrome all is good.    Not using scaled text is an option but the titles are then cut off. Has anyone found a solution ... since many people will be using links from social networks on Android in ad campaigns. 

These in-app browsers aren't documented in the same way as the supported browsers are, making it difficult to provide a permanent solution. Even if you can find a workaround, there is no guarantee that this, or any other, issue won't reappear again soon.

As an alternative approach, I prefer to add a message to the site when it is being browsed, explaining that users may want to choose a supported browser. For more details of what I propose, see Avoiding issues with in-app browsers on Squarespace.
