Inserting a lightbox text when you click a button or hyphenated text

I am hoping someone can help me!

I am getting tired of using accordions for extra information so I am looking for relatively easy coding to create popup/lightbox text when someone clicks underlined text or even an image. I want to use this on my "MEET THE TEAM" page. Looking for any and all suggestions on how to accomplish this.
