timolino
I have been trying to change the thumbnail that shows up when I share my site on facebook. Only thing I get is the image I've uploaded in my page settings. That image happens to also be the main banner for the page. I want that image to stay the same but want a different one when I'm sharing my site on facebook. I've tried inserting code in the header, the facebook debugger recognizes both images, but I can only choose the main banner image thumbnail and not the different one I want for it. Please let me know if there is a fix for this. Link to comment
jgennick
See if this article helps: http://gennick.com/database/facebook-preview-and-squarespace I faced a similar problem. You can add some open graph tags into your page header via the advanced tab. Link to comment
JeffC
As of Feb 2015 Facebook no longer allows you to override the info on the page. However, in April 2015 Squarespace added the ability to modify the Open Graph image (not other Open Graph info yet though). You can find out more in the docos here: http://help.squarespace.com/guides/adding-a-social-sharing-logo Link to comment
jgennick
Jeff, this is good information. Thank you. I'll update my blog post. Can you provide further details about Facebook's decision and why they took it? Any chance you could contact me offline? Link to comment
