How do I get different navigation items depending on the page?

happy new year to all of you  and thank you in advance for your patience with beginners.

1/ How can I get a navigation item (projects) not appearing on the homepage, but on the other pages?
2/ If I manage to solve point #1, how can I get this menu with all the projects listed as a sub-menu, on the left or right side of the pages, appearing only by clicking on a button, icon, or text.

Can you share your website URL? It's certainly possible to hide a navigation item on just your homepage..
